The TVH Difference
Prior to the establishment of TVH, parent-child visitations were conducted in public venues, which often hindered meaningful bonding. These limitations posed challenges to achieving timely family reunification. Colleen Huff, Founder and Executive Director of TVH and Founder of Family Transformations, a Parent Aid Agency, recognized the necessity for more effective observation of parenting skills within community environments.
TVH’s community homes now offer private settings for visitations, allowing thorough observation of various parenting abilities such as cooking, cleaning, managing multiple children, crafting, engaging in games, and reading together. This approach provides families with a home-like atmosphere. We maintain that all families navigating the reunification process should be afforded access to these supportive environments.

Do you have a client who is doing amazing and needs additional bonding time with their baby?We have trained Family Support Specialists ready to help!
These additional hours are over and above the regularly authorized hours.
Clients must be engaged in all other court-ordered services and actively on the path to reunification.
Clients must consistently use all their authorized bonding hours and have children age 3 and under or young children.

Our Evidence-Based ModelThe Evidence-Based Home Visiting Model is the comprehensive parent education model used by Parents as Teachers affiliates. The model provides a wide array of services to families with children from prenatal through kindergarten, and also offers deep insights into early childhood development. Since 1984, our model has been rigorously tested by peer-reviewed studies and shown to produce outstanding results for families.
